About
Dr. Zubair Rashid Wani is an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at the Central University of Kashmir, India. His research focuses on structural dynamics, seismic resilience, and uncertainty-aware design of civil infrastructure. He works on semi-active and passive vibration control systems, including magnetorheological dampers and replaceable structural fuse mechanisms for reinforced and post-tensioned concrete structures.
Dr. Wani has international research experience as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Edinburgh, where he worked on advanced structural systems and probabilistic performance assessment. His current interests include probabilistic seismic demand assessment, Bayesian uncertainty quantification, structural health monitoring, and reliability-based design.
He is actively involved in postgraduate teaching, research supervision, and funded research projects, and collaborates with national and international researchers on experimental, numerical, and data-driven approaches for resilient and sustainable infrastructure.
