About
Manas Mahapatra has completed his Ph.D. (in Chemistry) from department of Chemistry, University of Calcutta, Kolkata, INDIA. Now he is working as a Senior Postdoctoral fellow, Centre for Education and Research on Macromolecules (CERM), CESAM Research Unit, department of Chemistry, University of Liege, BELGIUM with Professor Christophe Detrembleur (FNRS Research Director). His research interest covers (not limited to) polymers chemistry (synthesis and characterization of CO2 based polymers), materials science (surface modification for better performance), fluorescent materials (hydrogels/ polymers/ foams), applications in selective Sensing of metal ions, dyes, antibiotics, and gaseous molecules. He is also doing computational studies mostly DFT and TD-DFT to explain the spectroscopies properties of polymers.
