He received PhD degree in Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata in 2007 and M. Tech Degree in Instrumentation and Control, from A.M.U Aligarh in 1997. At Present, he is working as professor in the Electrical Engineering Department, Faculty of Engg. & Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia (Central University), Maulana Ali Jauhar Marg, New Delhi-110025, India. He published more than 140 research articles in various peer reviewed journals and conferences, edited 1 book on "Wearable Sensors: Application design and Fabrication", published by IOP UK. He filed three patents and published five book chapters which are published by Springer, American Scientific Publishers, IOP UK. He is working as guest editor of a special issue on "Innovative Technologies and Services for Smart Cities" for the Electronics Journal (ISSN 2079-9292) (Impact factor 2.110), Publishers: MDPI, Switzerland. He is also working as a Associate Editor since 2015 and He was selected as a Best Performing Associate Editor, IEEE Sensors journal for 2017 and 2018.
