About
I am a passionate advocate for yoga and mind-body practices, dedicated to promoting holistic health and well-being. With a Master's in Yoga and Naturopathy and the prestigious UGC-NET/JRF award in Yoga, I have delved deeply into both traditional and contemporary yoga philosophies. My mission is to integrate these time-honoured practices with modern scientific research to develop impactful, evidence-based applications for today’s world.
Since August 2024, I have been serving as an Assistant Professor of Yoga at Sri Sri University (SSU), where I am committed to shaping the next generation of yoga professionals. My teaching portfolio spans a wide array of subjects, including Yoga Therapy, Patanjali Yoga Sutras, Research Methodology, and Yoga Practical sessions for MSc and BSc Yoga programs. As an alum and current employee of SSU, I have been instrumental in developing and delivering several courses and workshops on Yoga.
I completed my Ph.D. from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh in June 2026. My doctoral work focuses on exploring the potential of yoga to mitigate burnout among healthcare providers, a group often burdened by chronic stress. Through this research, I demonstrated how simple breathing and meditation techniques, supported by mHealth and AI-driven tools, can enhance resilience and reduce stress by employing advanced metrics like heart rate variability (HRV) and sleep assessments. During my Ph.D. tenure at AIIMS Rishikesh, I contributed to two funded research projects—one under DST-SATYAM and another intramural study—while supporting MD and Post-Doc scholars in their yoga-related research endeavours. My collaborative research efforts have culminated in multiple publications, further advancing the therapeutic applications of yoga.
Beyond research, I played a vital role at the Hypertension & Lifestyle Disease Clinic and the Integrative Medicine Clinic, providing yoga-based interventions and managing patient data. I also facilitated workshops on mind-body medicine and co-organized the 9th International Day of Yoga celebrations at AIIMS Rishikesh, and co-conducted "The Science of a Healthy Lifestyle" workshop in collaboration with the Sri Sri Institute of Advanced Research (SSIAR).
Guided by a commitment to integrity, hard work, and service, I strive to uplift myself and others through the transformative power of yoga and holistic health practices.
