About
I am a Professor and biomedical scientist working at the intersection of molecular medicine, cardiovascular research, biomaterials, tissue engineering, and translational biomedical science.
I focus on understanding the molecular mechanisms and biomarkers of cardiovascular disease, while developing innovative biomaterials and therapeutic platforms for regenerative medicine and tissue repair. My research integrates molecular and cellular biology, flow cytometry, biomaterials, hydrogels, nanobiotechnology, tissue engineering, experimental disease models, and translational product development.
I lead the Molecular Medicine & Biomedical Innovation Laboratory (MMBI Lab), where I pursue multidisciplinary research connecting molecular science, biomedical engineering, clinical needs, and technological innovation. I work with students, clinicians, scientists, and collaborators from diverse disciplines to translate laboratory discoveries into clinically relevant technologies, progressing from concept and laboratory validation to preclinical evaluation and product development.
My major research interests include:

I also actively contribute to academic leadership, postgraduate mentoring, research grant development, scientific writing, international collaboration, peer and grant review, and the organization of scientific conferences and workshops.
I believe that meaningful biomedical research should move beyond discovery and address real clinical and societal needs. I am passionate about building collaborative research teams, mentoring young scientists, developing innovative biomedical technologies, and translating scientific discoveries into solutions with measurable impact.
