About
I, Dr. Ismail Mondal is a Physical Oceanographer and Guest Faculty, Dept. of Marine Science, Dept. of Environment Science, and Dept. of Geography at the University of Calcutta, Kolkata-700019, India. The nature of the said I am a Remote Sensing and GIS specialist highly motivated, according to my field experience of 10 years in environmental modeling in different applications, i.e., Climate Change in UN Sustainable Gol’s in Sea Level Rise in Marine Physical, Biological and Chemical Modelling (Storm Surge and Coastal Vulnerability), SLAMM, Forest Ecology, Carbon Sequestration (Blue Carbon) of Biomass estimation, Aerosol Dynamic and Air Quality, Agriculture, Soil, Coastal and Estuarine modeling using Remote Sensing and GIS techniques. Moreover, I have an excellent working knowledge of tools like Remote Sensing, Digital Image Processing, Geographical Information Systems, Spatial data analysis, Programming Language, and statistical analysis (Google Earth Engine, Matlab, Python, etc.). I have been involved in my teaching career in various Universities for various curriculum development i.e., Application of geo-informatics and Spatial Database Management, Research methodology, and project management. Physical Oceanography, Environment Science and Climate Change, Marine and Coastal Geomorphology; Fundamentals & physics of Remote Sensing and GIS, Photogrammetry, Surveying, and GPS, Computer fundamentals and programming, Digital image processing & information extraction, Microwave, Hyperspectral Remote Sensing, and Lidar, Application of geo-informatics and Spatial Database Management, Research methodology and project management
