About
Pedro Morais is an Assistant PhD Researcher at 2Ai-IPCA. In 2019, he received a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering from theUniversity of Porto, Portugal, and Biomedical Sciences from KU Leuven, Belgium (Doctoral thesis under co-supervision). His Ph.D. thesis was a collaborative project between FEUP/INEGI, KULeuven and ICVS/3B’s, focused on the development of novel image-based solutions to improve the planning of left atrial interventions. In 2013, he received an MSc in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Minho. His dissertation was related to cardiac motion and deformation estimation, in a collaborative project between the University of Minho and KULeuven. Currently, his main interests are imaging processing, image segmentation, image-guided minimally invasive interventions, image tracking, image fusion, robotics and biomedical applications.
