I am Dr. Sivagaami Sundari Gunasekaran, a Research Associate deeply passionate about Electrochemistry, Material Science, and Nanotechnology. With over 3 years of rigorous academic research and an additional 2 years in the manufacturing industry, I have honed my skills in handling diverse projects simultaneously.
My journey in academia led me to obtain a Ph.D. in Chemistry, specializing in Electrochemistry from VISTAS, Chennai. My doctoral research focused on pioneering advanced carbon electrode materials for supercapacitor applications, contributing to the evolving landscape of sustainable energy solutions.
Throughout my career, I've been fascinated by the synthesis and characterization of materials, delving into areas such as Supercapacitors, Battery Materials, and Polymer Nano-composites. This passion has fueled my publication journey, with 25 peer-reviewed journal articles under my belt, garnering over 470 Citations and establishing notable indices like an h-index of 14 and an i10-index of 17. Additionally, I've secured 4 patents in India, reflecting my dedication to innovative research.
Beyond academia, I've ventured into the manufacturing industry, gaining hands-on experience in Quality and Technical Support roles. This practical exposure has enriched my understanding of real-world applications and complemented my academic pursuits.
My technical expertise encompasses a wide array of techniques, from Material Synthesis methods like Hydrothermal/Solvothermal to advanced Material Characterization techniques such as X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Electron Microscopy (FESEM/TEM). I've also actively participated in collaborative research endeavors, presenting my work at numerous national and international conferences.
With strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills, I thrive in dynamic research environments. My goal is to continue pushing the boundaries of scientific knowledge, contributing meaningfully to the development of innovative solutions in my field.
