About
Prof. Webster has published over 1700 papers with an H-index of 139 placing him in the top 1% of academic researchers. He is a fellow of over 8 different academic societies and was the previous US Society For Biomaterials President. He has formed over a dozen companies with over two dozen FDA approved medical devices currently improving the lives of thousands of patients. His implants are in over 45,000 patients with no failures. He research has led to several orthopedic implants with nanotextured surface features which currently have never failed in patients (whereas the industry standard is 5-10% implant failures due to infection, chronic inflammation or implant loosening). He is currently nominated for the Noble Prize in Chemistry based on such work.
