B.Sc. Medical; M.Sc., Ph.D. in Zoology, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana, India. Has more than 23 years of experience in Research, Teaching, Extension & Administration at PAU, Ludhiana after Joining as Assistant Zoologist (Rodents) in the All India Network Project (AINP) on Rodent Control in March 1997 on ad-hoc basis and July 2000 on regular basis. Promoted as Principal Zoologist (Rodents) in July 2015 after fifteen years of regular service. Working as Principal Investigator, AINP on VPM (Rodent Control)-ICAR from June 2009. Handled one competitive project (UGC funded) from April 2013-17, besides several sponsored projects. Served as Head, Department of Zoology, PAU, Ludhiana for four years from 2019-2023. Guided 26 M.Sc. and 8 Ph.D. students as major advisor. Published >125 research papers and review articles in refereed journals, conference proceedings, and books, 14 book chapters, 1 monograph, 1 book, 9 bulletins, 27 research notes, 99 abstracts, 21 technical reports, and 34 Genbank accession nos to my credit. Attended 29 national and 18 international (09 abroad) level conferences. Represented India in the scientific arena in countries like Nepal, Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Germany, China, and Tanzania.
