About

Prof. Bhaskar Sinha is a faculty in the ecosystem and environment management and the chairperson of the centre for climate change studies at the Indian Institute of Forest Management. Dr Sinha has obtained his masters, M.Phil. and PhD degree from the school of environmental sciences, JNU, New Delhi. He has more than fifteen years of experience in interdisciplinary research, consultancy and teaching on issues related to integrated natural resource management, conservation and livelihood, the interface between social and ecological issues, climate change adaptation and mitigation, sustainability. He has authored more than 25 papers in national and international journals including two books.
Dr Sinha has completed more than 20 research/ consultancy projects and training programmes with the support of national and international agencies including UNDP, GIZ, MoRD, MoEFCC, DBT, GoMP, World Bank- WWF Alliance, Forest PLUS on various contemporary issues related to climate change adaptation, ecological sustainability and integrated natural resource management. Dr Sinha is actively involved in teaching various courses related to climate change and ecosystem management to the students of PG, M.Phil. and Doctoral level.
