About
As an aspiring sedimentologist with a Ph.D. from IIT Roorkee, I am passionate about understanding the palaeodepositional, palaeoenvironmental, palaeogeographic, palaeoclimatic, and palaeoecological conditions from rock record and utilizing the knowledge to solve problems of the future such as characterization of reservoir properties required for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques and carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects. I thrive on tackling complex challenges in both academic and industrial settings, leveraging my technical skills and extensive experience in research. My Ph.D. work focused on the outcrop-based study of facies architecture and laboratory-based experimental geochemistry. I constructed a paleodepositional model, a conceptual palaeogeographic model for understanding the marine incursion events, and developed a predictive diagenetic model to characterize the reservoir heterogeneity from the Permian Gondwana rocks of Southern India.
