Dr. Abhijit Dey is an accomplished academic and researcher, currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur, India. With over seven years of teaching and research experience, Dr. Dey has previously been associated with NIT Srinagar, NIT Silchar, and MITS Madanapalle in Andhra Pradesh, where he made significant contributions to advancing knowledge in mechanical engineering. Dr. Dey's research expertise lies in the development of Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMCs) and the machinability of Metal Matrix Nano-Composites (MMCs) and CMCs, Mechanical, Nano-Mechanical and Tribological behavior of the Composites and alloys focusing on enhancing their performance in extreme conditions. His innovative work in Gradient and Nano-Layered coatings for advanced industrial applications has positioned him at the forefront of materials science. These cutting-edge solutions address critical challenges in sectors such as aerospace, defense, and biomedical engineering. Throughout his career, Dr. Dey has demonstrated a commitment to excellence in both teaching and research.
