About

Prof. Modh is Vice Chancellor at VIT Bhopal University. He has held numerous academic leadership positions, including Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean at Somaiya Vidyavihar University, Mumbai, Director at Vivekanand Education Society's Institute of Management, Mumbai and Professor and Associate Dean at NMIMS University. Prof Modh serves as an NBA expert and evaluator for the accreditation of business schools across the nation.

He began his career with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India (Indian Engineering Services), but soon transitioned to Air India as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. Prof Modh was Deputy General Manager and member of the Business Transformation Group at Air India, During his tenure at Air India, he was also Honorary Secretary and Chairman of the Aeronautical Society of India, Mumbai Branch and General Secretary of the Air India Aircraft Engineers Association.

Prof Modh was Kokan Prant Sanghchalak of RSS for 9 years.

In 2001, Professor Modh visited Gujarat after the earthquake and met numerous disaster-affected individuals and NGOs. He went on to publish several books on disaster management, including 'A Citizen’s Guide to Disaster Management', 'Introduction to Disaster Management', 'Managing Natural Disasters', and 'Managing Technological and Environmental Disasters'.

Professor Modh has also authored books based on the Gita: 'Discover the Arjuna in You', 'Arjuna's 15 Questions', 'The Bhagavad Gita in Simple English', and 'RSS: The Bhagvad Gita in Action'. Prof Modh has developed a test based on Sattva, Rajas and Tanas Guna to help people understand their personality (True Nature). He has also written a book on business ethics based on Indian Knowledge Systems titled 'Ethical Management'.

Professor Modh has been invited to speak on the Gita at various universities in Bharat and the United States, including various IIMs, JNU, Delhi University, University of Southern California, University of North Carolina, San Diego State University, Ohio State University, and Michigan State University, among others.

He has contributed chapters to the 'Palgrave Encyclopedia of Leadership and Organisational Change', 'Palgrave Handbook of Servant Leadership', 'Palgrave Handbook of Workplace Well-Being', and 'New Horizons in Workplace Well-Being', all published by Springer Nature.

Professor Modh received the Outstanding Reviewer Award at the Academy of Management Conference in Boston in 2019 (MSR Interest Group) and the Dewang Mehta Award for Outstanding Contribution to Education in 2014.
