About
Dr. Naved Malek completed his primary education in Ankleshwar, Gujarat. He completed his B. Sc. in Chemistry from J. P. Arts and Science College, Bharuch, (Gujarat) in 2001 and M. Sc with Analytical Chemistry as the major from Department of Chemistry, South Gujarat University, Surat in 2003. He has been awarded the Ph. D in Chemistry in 2007 by the Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, India, for his work on Synthesis and Characterization of Poly(ester-amide)s. After graduating, he joined Cadila Pharmaceuticals as an Analytical Scientist in their R&D Section. He then joined the Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Institute with National Importance in August 2008, as an Assistant Professor in Chemistry. He has worked as a Post Doctoral Fellow at the University of Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo, Brazil with Prof. Omar El Seoud from November 2014 to October 2015. In January 2019 he was promoted to Associate Professor. He has more than 17 – years of research and 11 – years of teaching experience. He is a co-author of 4 book chapters and 70 research papers in the journals of international repute and has more than 1040 citations with an h-index of 20 and i10-index of 40.
