About
My research interests span two fields. I worked with the Indian Institute of Science (5 years) on forest dynamics and carbon assessment across forests and village ecosystems. Another five years spent measuring greenhouse gases from different smallholder cropping systems across four districts in India. My PhD at the University of Leeds was on High-temperature responses of photosynthesis. I studied the sensitivity of Amazonian forest trees as well as spectral responses of heat in photosynthesizing leaves. In general, I am interested in photosynthetic high-temperature responses. I enjoy building sensors probing heat stress responses in plants. I am also the founder of an online volunteering initiative that curates audio textbooks for visually challenged from volunteer time contributions.
