Currently Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Ami Polymer Pvt. Ltd., and Strategic Advisor to multiple early-stage Life sciences and healthcare startups.
In recent past was Deputy Managing Director & Member of Executive Board of Indian Immunologicals Limited, Hyderabad, India overseeing technical operations. Previously was Head of End-to-End Solutions - Asia Pacific at Merck KGaA overseeing business development activities, also Head of Asia Pacific Biologics Operations - spearheaded design, start up and qualification of BioReliance® biologics safety testing facility in Singapore and it's US FDA Inspection. He was Director of Global Vaccine Initiative of Merck Life Science supporting development of integrated solutions for vaccine development and manufacturing dealing with sales development, partnership and collaborations. He was head of M Lab at Singapore and India where he led a group of process engineers and process development scientists providing consulting services and applications support.
Previously worked as a Scientist at International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (United Nations), New Delhi developing malaria vaccines. Later moved to Defence R&D Organization (Govt. of India) to lead the biodefence vaccine program. He was principal investigator for several vaccine projects and awarded by Indian govt with Brig. KM Rao award for contribution on dengue vaccine development. He is co-author of >100 publications in international/national journals and eight book chapters.
Received master’s degree in microbiology from Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology, India and PhD in Microbiology from National Dairy Research Institute, India.
