Dr. Roman Moskalenko is a Professor and the Head of the Department of Pathological Anatomy at Sumy State University, Ukraine. He received his Doctor of Medical Sciences (DSc) degree in Anatomic Pathology in 2018 and his Candidate of Medical Sciences (PhD equivalent) degree in Normal Anatomy in 2010. His primary research interests lie in anatomic pathology, oncology, digital pathology, and the application of artificial intelligence for the automation of cancer diagnostics. Dr. Moskalenko is actively engaged in international research collaborations, serving as the Ukrainian coordinator for the EU Horizon Europe "ARGO" project. He has co-authored numerous scientific papers in high-impact journals, including Nature Microbiology, Cell Host & Microbe, and Nucleic Acids Research. Additionally, he serves on the editorial board of the journal "Reports of Morphology" and is a recipient of the Platon Kostyuk Award (2017) and the KSE Foundation "Talents for Ukraine" award (2024).
