About
Currently, I am working as an Early Career Fellow at the Department of Biological Sciences and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN), Gandhinagar, Gujarat. I completed my Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in 2024 from the Special Centre for Nanoscience, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India, with the thesis title "Fabrication of Electrochemical Nanodiagnostics Platform for the Detection of Sperm Protein 17 Cancer Biomarker” under the guidance of Dr. Pratima Solanki. I received my B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in biotechnology from St. Columba’s College and Vinoba Bhave University, Jharkhand, India, in 2014 and 2016, respectively.
My research is focused on the design and application of cutting-edge nanotechnology and nanoscience-based biosensors, with an interest in diagnostics. These nanobiosensors are based on the integration of biological molecules (DNA, antibodies) and other bioreceptors with micro- and nanostructures and are applied in diagnostics, environmental monitoring, safety, and security. I have published over 45 research publications, including research articles, review articles, and book chapters, on the most reputed platforms in the field, and more are in the pipeline.
I have received the prestigious IIT Gandhinagar-Early Career Fellowship at IIT Gandhinagar; the Prime Minister Research Fellowship by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India; the ICMR Senior Research Fellowship by ICMR at SCNS, JNU, New Delhi; the SCIENCE ACADEMIES Summer Research Fellowship at Delhi Technological University, New Delhi; the Jharkhand eKalyan Scholarship by the Govt. of Jharkhand; and the LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship by the Life Insurance Corporation of India, New Delhi.
In addition, I received the Best Oral Presentation Award in ETID 2024, ICNOC-2022, NBHH-2021, and NBL 2021; the Best Young Scientist Prize in Vasudhev Kutumbkam-3; Young Researcher Award 2023; and InSc Research Excellence Award 2020 from the Institute of Scholars (InSc), Govt. of India.
I have received recognition as a recipient of the SERB Student Travel Grant 2023 from the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), DST, Government of India, as well as the IWAM 2023 Student Travel Grant from the Ras Al Khaimah Centre for Advanced Materials (RAK CAM). These grants facilitated his attendance at the 33rd Anniversary World Congress on Biosensors (Biosensors 2023) in Busan, South Korea, and the International Workshop on Advanced Materials (IWAM) 2023 in Dubai, UAE.
Additionally, Mr. Yadav holds memberships with prestigious organizations, including the BioBank India Foundation (BBIF) as a student member, the Electrochemical Society (ECS) as a student member, and InSc Membership, where he serves as a professional member of InSc International Publishers with a lifetime validity (LIFE MEMBER OF INSC). He has demonstrated leadership by previously serving as President of the ECS-Jawaharlal Nehru University Student Chapter in New Delhi and currently holds the position of Secretary.
