About
I am Sandip Saha, currently, I am working as a Career Development Fellow at the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS-TIFR), Bangalore, India. Previously, I held various postdoctoral positions at ISI Kolkata in India, TU Darmstadt in Germany, and KAUST in Saudi Arabia. My current work focuses on optimizing Physics-Informed Machine Learning models for complex developmental processes, supported by mathematical modeling. Specifically, I integrate fundamental physical principles, such as Lagrangian, Hamiltonian, and Variational principle frameworks, into machine learning models to enhance their predictive power for identifying developmental trajectories through mathematical modeling and single-cell RNA-seq data. I obtained my Ph.D. from the S. N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, with the degree conferred by the University of Calcutta in 2021. My doctoral research spanned a broad spectrum of mathematical modeling and nonlinear dynamics.
