This is Mitu Rani Das, I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Structural Biology at the Institute of Science, University of Tokyo, where my research is focused on investigating genetic and molecular mechanisms. I hold a Master’s degree in Structural Biology from Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU), Japan, and also engaged in research as part of a Master of Public Health (MPH) program at North South University, Bangladesh. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Speech and Language Therapy from the Bangladesh Health Professions Institute (BHPI), under the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Dhaka, in 2018, followed by a one-year compulsory clinical internship at the Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP) in 2019. My professional background includes several years of experience as a Consultant Speech and Language Therapist at RIAND Bangladesh and CS Care Clinic, where I provided specialized care for children with neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome, and speech and communication delays. I also worked as a training fellow under the research division in the Bangladesh Institute of Research and Rehabilitation of Diabetes, Endocrine and Metabolic Disorders (BIRDEM) healthcare centers in Dhaka. My interdisciplinary training in structural biology, public health, and clinical therapy has shaped a unique research perspective that bridges molecular science with developmental health. I am particularly interested in the intersection between genetic disorders and metabolic conditions, such as the prevalence and progression of diabetes in children with disabilities. With a strong commitment to research excellence and translational impact, I aspire to contribute meaningfully to the global scientific dialogue on pediatric neurodevelopmental and metabolic health. Moreover, I'm very passionate about research & want to enhance my knowledge and skills to help my country.
