About
Udai Bhan Singh is presently working as an Assistant Professor of Physics, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur. He got his PhD in Physics at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (IUAC), New Delhi in 2014 under the supervision of Prof. Devesh Kumar Avasthi (Presently Dean, R. & D., UPES, Dehradun). After PhD, he did his postdoc at the Inter-University Accelerator Centre (with Dr Fouran Singh, Scientist- G, Lab Incharge: Structure & Spectroscopy, IUAC) on the topic " Synthesis of nanostructures and their SERS application". Then he worked as a Research Associate cum National Postdoctoral Fellow (with Prof. Santanu Ghosh, IIT Delhi) on the topic of the Development of Coupled Plasmonics system for Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering. He is the co-author of more than 40 scientific publications and three research projects. He reviewed more than 50 research articles. His research activities deal with the nano-structuring of noble metal using ion beam irradiation and modelling using thermal spike and Tridyn simulation to understand the role of an ion with a material. He is also working on a fractal analysis to set up a relationship between the synthesized nanostructures with mathematical terms.
