About
My current research focuses on developing novel bioprocesses that utilize Syngas: CO2, CO, H2, and O2 as a sustainable feedstock and leverage the metabolic capabilities of non-traditional bacteria.
Experience and area of interest
-Applied metabolic engineering and molecular biology approaches within a Design-Build-Test-Learn (DBTL) framework to develop microbial strains for the production of high-value chemicals such as Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAFs)
-Adaptive laboratory evolution
- Heterotrophic and autotrophic cultivation strategies using non-conventional bacteria
- Hands-on experience developing and optimizing fermentation processes across small-scale (500 mL) to pilot-scale (500 L) systems.
