About
Dr. Om Jee Pandey is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics Engineering, IIT (BHU), Varanasi. Prior to joining IIT (BHU), he was working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, SRM University AP, Andhra Pradesh. He worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Canada under the guidance of Prof. Ha H. Nguyen after completion of his Ph.D. Program. He also worked as a research fellow with Prof. Rajesh M. Hegde in Wireless Sensor Networks Lab (ACES-204) at IIT Kanpur during January 2019 to May 2019. He also worked with industries such as Escorts Limited and FANUC India Pvt. Limited after completion of his B.Tech. programme.
As a part of educational qualification, he completed his Ph.D. Degree in January 2019 from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IIT-K), India. He received his M.Tech. Degree in Digital Communication from ABV-Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Gwalior, India, in 2013. He obtained his B.Tech. Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow, India, in 2008.
His research interest lies in the signal processing and communications for wireless networks, with specific focus on robust sensor node localization and tracking over wireless ad-hoc networks. He also works on related areas like network lifetime maximization, energy harvesting, network robustness, low-latency and energy-balanced data transmission, time synchronization, data fusion, data aggregation, autonomous node fault detection, and distributed detection and estimation in wireless sensor networks. Additionally, he also works in the areas of Low-Power Wide Area Networks (LPWANs), UAV-Assisted Edge and Fog Networks, Visible Light Communication (VLC), Cyber Physical Systems (CPS), Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain-enabled IoT, and Physical Layer Wireless Communications. He is a senior member of IEEE and IETE Fellow.
