About

Dr. Minal Dakhave is a healthcare and diagnostics leader with over 15 years of experience in molecular diagnostics, translational research, and product innovation. She has led the development and commercialization of 75+ diagnostic products spanning infectious diseases, oncology, and genetics. Known for pioneering India’s first COVID-19 RT-PCR test and the world’s first point-of-care molecular COVID test (CoviSwift™), she combines deep scientific expertise with regulatory strategy and market impact.

Dr. Dakhave currently leads Medical Affairs at Dognosis, where she is spearheading multi-site clinical studies in India for breath-based early cancer detection. She has also held key leadership roles at Mylab Discovery Solutions, where she directed the launch of high-impact molecular diagnostics including NAT kits, TB drug resistance and HPV screening solutions at national level.

Her research contributions include 10+ peer-reviewed publications, 5 granted patents, and multiple international conference presentations (ASCO, IACR, Virocon). She serves as an academic editor (PLOS ONE) and reviewer for prominent journals and has received recognitions such as the Padma Award nomination (2020), Best Researcher Award (2023), and Rising Star Award (2021).

Her areas of interest include molecular innovation, diagnostics, point-of-care technologies, and public health-focused solutions.
