About

CS Jigar Rupani is a qualified Company Secretary and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). He completed his Ph.D in Commerce from Jharkhand Rai University, Ranchi. He did his Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) from Sydenham College of Commerce (Mumbai University) & Bachelor of Law (L.L.B.) from Government Law College (Mumbai University). He has also completed his Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from Nagpur University. He has a teaching experience of around 10 years and industry experience of around 3 years. Presently he is working as an Assistant Professor in the School of Business and Management at CHRIST (Deemed-to-be University), Bangalore. Prior to joining CHRIST University, he was associated with ARKA JAIN University in Jamshedpur and Dayanand Sagar University, Presidency University and JAIN University in Bangalore.
He has been associated with various academic institutions as a Visiting Faculty for Corporate Laws and Accountancy. He was the managing partner of BR Classes - the first coaching center in Jamshedpur for professional courses like CA, CS and CMA. He has worked for various corporate houses like Tata group, IndiaBulls, Blue Star etc. As a Practicing Company Secretary he has been a Legal and HR consultant for companies in Jamshedpur. His key area of expertise was Compliance and Risk Management.
As a Research Scholar, he has published few research papers and attended national and international conferences related to his research topic – “Corporate Social Responsibility”. He has also attended various workshops and FDPs to enrich his research skills.
He is the first Company Secretary in the state of Jharkhand and the eighth in Eastern region to have been awarded the Ph.D. degree.
His area of specialization is Accountancy, Direct Taxation, Finance and Corporate Laws.
