About
I am a bioinformatician experienced in inferring genome architecture and function using high-throughput DNA and RNA datasets.
My PhD was on transposable elements (‘selfish genes’) embedded in the human transcriptome, and the plasticity created due to that.
From there I have moved to studying ‘selfish cells’ (tumours) during post-doctoral research.
Presently, am with the Buczacki lab at the Old Road campus in Oxford, who use organoid models of colorectal cancers. My work here involves deciphering tumour evolution in the context of cell differentiation routes, as inferred from bulk or single-cell sequencing approaches.
