About

I am a Hydrologist and Climate Change Professional with a Ph.D. in Water Resources Engineering from IIT Guwahati, where my research focused on climate extremes and glacial lake outburst floods in the Himalayas. My expertise spans climate change analysis, hydro-climatological processes, hydrological modeling, statistical methods, and glacier hazards.

I have worked as a researcher, academician, and consultant, bridging science and practice through interdisciplinary projects. Currently, my research at BISA focuses on assessing the impact of climate change on crop production in South Asia using machine learning and spatial crop modelling. As part of this work, I contributed to the Atlas of Climate Adaptation for South Asian Agriculture (ACASA), an open-access platform for climate risk assessments and adaptation strategies.

Previously, I evaluated high-resolution reanalysis datasets to study extreme runoff from Atmospheric Rivers (ARs) in British Columbia, Canada, and led a project to update Intensity-Duration-Frequency (IDF) curves for Saskatoon, Canada, under climate change using downscaled projections from 21 CMIP5 models.

Alongside research, I have contributed to consultancy projects including the Jal Jeevan Mission (DPR preparation), pipeline irrigation network design with aerial mapping, and flood risk assessments.
