About

Dr. Kishan Jee is a Professor specializing in Sustainable Finance, ESG, Circular Economy, and Microfinance, with vast experience spanning teaching, research, academic leadership, and institutional administration. He has built a strong international research profile with 26+ peer-reviewed publications in ABDC, SCOPUS, and UGC-CARE indexed journals. He has also authored three academic books and contributed 17 book chapters, six of which appear in SCOPUS-indexed volumes (including publishers such as Springer Nature, IGI Global, Emerald, and an IEEE conference proceeding), alongside additional chapters in edited volumes and conference proceedings.

Prior to joining Somaiya Vidyavihar University, he served as Professor and Head of the Department of Commerce at Brainware University, Kolkata (Nov 2023– Mar 2026), where he led postgraduate programmes, organised international conferences — including convening the 1st International Conference on Industry 5.0: Connecting Humans and Machines for Sustainable Development (2024) — developed industry partnerships (including strategic MoUs with NISM, BSE, and KPMG), guided doctoral scholars, and contributed to NAAC and academic governance as Convenor of the university's NAAC Core Team. He also served as Associate Professor and Head of the Faculty of Commerce at Gopal Narayan Singh University, Bihar (2018–2023), where he strengthened research culture, curriculum innovation, and institutional administration, including chairing the Departmental Research Committee and Departmental Academic Committee.

He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi. Alongside his primary role, he holds additional affiliations as a doctoral research guide at IIT Patna and in association with Lincoln University, Malaysia. His academic excellence has been recognised through several prestigious honours, including the Faculty of the Year Award (2025) from the London School of Digital Business, London, and the Best Paper Award (2025) at ICEIG 2025, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. He has been an invited speaker and resource person at numerous national and international conferences and seminars, and holds two published patents and one copyright in areas spanning IoT-based supply chain optimization, blockchain-based academic credentialing, and AI-powered adaptive learning.
