Tapasendra Adhikary
São Carlos Institute of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, National Institute of Technology
About
He earned his B.Tech in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from NIT Durgapur (2013) and his M.Tech from IIT Kharagpur (2017). His expertise spans the structural, electronic, and magnetic properties of permanent magnets and shape memory alloys, with extensive experience in characterization techniques (SEM, XRD, TEM) and computational methods (MD, DFT). In 2024, he received his Ph.D. from IIT Kharagpur, where his research focused on diffusion mechanisms in Ni/Ti bilayer systems that govern the performance of multilayer shape memory alloys. His doctoral work included a short-term research stay at Nanyang Technological University (Singapore). He has authored 15 peer-reviewed articles and one book chapter and has presented at leading international conferences. Currently, he is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Centre for Innovation on New Energies (CINE), São Carlos Institute of Chemistry, University of São Paulo, where he investigates sodium-ion battery materials using advanced computational simulations to advance next-generation energy storage technologies.
