About
Manuj Kr Das, PhD, is a Senior Project Associate at CSIR-North East Institute of Science and Technology, Jorhat, Assam, India. He holds a doctorate in Bioengineering and Technology, with interdisciplinary expertise spanning biomedical sciences, infectious diseases, and translational research.
His research focuses on infectious disease biology and public health challenges, particularly multi-drug resistant Plasmodium falciparum malaria. He has been actively involved in investigations addressing anti-malarial drug resistance, malaria vector resistance and behavioral dynamics, and strategies for improved disease surveillance and control. His work also extends to the study of food-borne pathogens, contributing to understanding microbial resistance, pathogen detection, and food safety.
Dr. Das is associated with national-level research initiatives including Phenome India (PI-CHeCK), which aims to generate comprehensive phenotypic and clinical data for advancing precision health research in India. His research integrates laboratory-based molecular and microbiological techniques with epidemiological and analytical approaches to address emerging health threats.
Through interdisciplinary collaboration and applied bioengineering strategies, he aims to contribute to improved diagnostics, disease management frameworks, and public health interventions, particularly in the context of infectious and non-infectious diseases.
