Md Hussain
Saharsa College of engineering, Supaul College of engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Patna
About
Md Husain is an Assistant Professor at Saharsa College of Engineering, Saharsa (Government of Bihar, India), and a Ph.D. graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna. He holds a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) from IIT Roorkee and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh.
His research expertise lies in advanced geotechnical engineering with a strong emphasis on computational modeling and numerical simulations. His work primarily focuses on discrete element modeling (DEM), computational geomechanics, and the development of innovative solutions for complex geotechnical problems. His research interests extend to earthquake geotechnics, soil–structure interaction, and railway track engineering systems.
Dr. Husain’s research contributes to improving the understanding of granular material behavior and enhancing the resilience, performance, and sustainability of infrastructure systems under static and dynamic loading conditions. He has a keen interest in bridging theoretical modeling with practical engineering applications, particularly in the context of emerging sustainable materials and ground improvement techniques.
He is actively engaged in research, teaching, and scholarly activities, and is interested in collaborating on interdisciplinary research in geotechnical and computational engineering domains.
