About
26 years in Gastroenterology, trained from Christian Medical College Vellore, UAB Alabama, MUSC South Carolina USA, Medical University of Kitasato Japan and Fudan University Sanghai. Started the historic fist and second Liver Transplantations in Odisha, brough the concept of Hybrid conference in the country, organized the historic hybrid MTE and TSE conferences. Continuing the mission of Hepatitis free Odisha, vaccinated 17 lakh people against Hepatitis B. Received 18 national and state awards. Started the DM program at IMS and SUM hospital, established the state of the art Molecular diagnostic and research center at Bhubaneswar. Has close to 100 research publications in National and International Journals. Presently I am the only person doing Third Space Endoscopic surgeries in the state. I am the elected member of National Academy of Medical sciences, New Delhi, life member of Indo- British health Initiative, member of AASLD,AGA,ACG,ASGE and EASL. Being the core- committee member of various National and Asian Guidelines. Presently I am the Governing Council Member and Vice President of the Society of Gastro intestinal Endoscopy India. My research interests are Hepato cellular Carcinoma, IBD, HBV infection, H Pylori, Upper GI bleed and EUS.
