Presently working as a Principal Scientist in ICAR-Central Research Institute for Jute and Allied Fibres, Kolkata, India. Previously worked as Assistant Professor, Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Coochbehar, India. Research experience of 20 years on genetics, genomics, biotechnology and crop breeding. Research focuses on genetics and genomics of fibre crops, characterise biochemical pathways using genomics and molecular breeding for speciality traits.
