About

I am an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Ecological Sciences, the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), and associate faculty of the interdisciplinary program IMI (IISc Math Initiative)

Prior to this, I was a postdoc in the group of Iain Couzin at Princeton University; and I did my PhD in Physics at The Ohio State University working with Prof. C Jayaprakash on theoretical ecology. My undergraduate education was at IIT Kanpur.

I work in the area of Mathematical/Theoretical Ecology and Evolution including Collective Animal Behavior focusing on the evolutionary aspects, and spatiotemporal patterns, self-organization and abrupt changes in ecosystems.
