About
This thesis analyses the locational dynamics of schooling opportunities in Rajasthan before and after the implementation of the School Merger Policy, using a GIS-based school mapping methodology. Adopting a mixed-methods approach, the study explores the structural transformation of the education system and how the restructured school network has reshaped accessibility following policy interventions. Positioned within the emerging field of the geography of education, the research contributes to a multidisciplinary discourse, bridging regional analysis, spatial planning, and educational development. The study introduces a unique methodological lens for examining educational planning through geospatial analysis, offering fresh insights into policy-driven spatial restructuring.
