About
Dr. M. K. Pradhan, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Raipur (An Institute of National Importance). Prior to this, he was working as Assistant Professor, Grade-1, in the Department of Mechanical, Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal (An Institute of National Importance). He completed his Ph.D. from the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, his research topic was “Experimental Investigation and Modelling of Surface Integrity, Accuracy and Productivity Aspect in EDM of AISI D2 Steel” in 2010. Prior to this, after completing M.E from NIT Rourkela in the year 1999. He is the Head of the Material Processing and Advance Manufacturing lab. National Institute of Technology, Raipur, India. He teaches Additive Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and was teaching metrology, tool engineering, metal forming, Theory of plasticity, design and manufacturing subjects. He has over 25 years of teaching and research experience in manufacturing and 15 years of postdoctoral research experience. He has advised over 90 graduates, 50 postgraduates and supervised 07 Ph.D. students and currently supervises 04 Ph.D. students. His research interests include manufacturing, non-traditional machining, metrology, micromachining, hybrid machining, and process modelling and optimization. He has 80+ international Journal publications, 80+ technically edited papers, which were published in conference proceedings, authored one and edited three books, 5+ edited conference proceedings, 5+ journals as guest editor, and 30+ book chapters. He is on the editorial board and review panel of 5+ International Journals of repute. He has guided more than 07 and currently 04 doctoral scholars and more than 50 MTech scholars in the area of manufacturing and materials. He has been felicitated with many awards and honours. (Web of Science core collection (200 publications, Web of Science/h-index 17+, SCOPUS/h-index 14+, Google Scholar/h-index 25+, enlisted on the global list of the top 2% of scientists for the last four years, data compiled by Stanford University). He is charted engineer, a life fellow of IIPE, and a life member of ISTE, IACSIT, IAENG and FIE (I).
