Research Topic: Lie Algebraic Models in Molecular Physics
Research Information:
My research is centered on the Lie algebraic modeling of molecular vibrational spectra, with emphasis on developing symmetry-adapted Hamiltonians for polyatomic systems. The U(2) Lie algebraic framework is employed to analyze both fundamental and higher overtone frequencies, enabling accurate descriptions of vibrational dynamics.
Key aspects of my work include the transition from local to normal modes, as well as the treatment of harmonic and anharmonic vibrations. The Morse oscillator is incorporated to capture anharmonic effects, while Casimir and Majorana operators are used in constructing Hamiltonians that preserve molecular symmetry.
My ongoing studies extend this approach to biomolecules and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, with the objective of advancing the framework for larger and more complex molecular systems.
