About
Arkaprovo Das (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in electrical communication engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, India, in 2017. He is currently working as a Post-Doctoral Scholar with the Computational Electromagnetics and Antennas Research Laboratory (CEARL), The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA, USA. Prior to his appointment at CEARL, he was a Co-Founder and the Principal Research and Development Engineer at Simyog Technology Private Ltd., Bengaluru, where he was one of the architects of the core electromagnetics solver technology embedded inside commercial Simyog products. His current research interests include computational electromagnetics, developing formulations for electromagnetic-circuit co-simulations, modeling electromagnetic scattering from arbitrary shaped and sized obstacles, and time-varying circuits and systems. Dr. Das is also a member of the Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society (ACES) and has served as session chair for several ACES Symposiums. He was the past secretary of the IEEE Electronics Packaging Society Bangalore chapter from 2017 to 2020. He is also a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals including Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Computational Materials, IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, IEEE Access, IEEE Antennas and Propagation Magazine, etc. He has also been on the Technical Program Committee for many international conferences including the IEEE Electrical Design of Advanced Packaging and Systems Symposium (EDAPS), the IEEE International Microwave and RF Conference (IMaRC), and the Mediterranean Microwave Symposium (MMS). He was a recipient of the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society Fellowship Award in 2023 and the IEEE Bangalore Section Young Technologist of the Year Award in 2019. He is currently serving as one of the Guest Editors of a Special Section for IEEE OPEN JOURNAL ON ANTENNAS AND PROPAGATION.
