About
Ramasamy Dhivagar graduated with a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.E. in Energy Engineering in 2014 and 2016, respectively, from Kumaraguru College of Technology in Coimbatore, India. He graduated with a Ph.D. in Energy Engineering with a focus on solar thermal techniques from Anna University Chennai (Research Centre: Hindusthan College of Engineering & Technology Coimbatore), in 2021. Currently, he works as a Research Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences in Coimbatore, India. He has around 8.2 and 1.6 years of experience as a teacher and researcher. He has handled various subjects to the student community including Thermodynamics, Thermal Engineering, Gas dynamics & Jet propulsion, Renewable Energy and Research Methodology. His areas of interest in research are solar desalination methods and renewable energy. In addition, he has 37 SCI, 12 Scopus & 1 scholarly indexed research articles published in reputable and high-impact international journals. He is an award-winning researcher recognized for outstanding contributions in engineering research, with honors from Anna University Chennai, QIS College of Engineering & Technology Ongole, and Yeungnam University South Korea. Furthermore, Elsevier and Stanford University USA have recognized him as one of the World’s Top 2% Scientists in the discipline of Energy and Environmental Engineering during 2023, 2024 & 2025. In addition, he collaborates on research at several reputable Indian and international universities.
