About
Since 2021, he has been working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Animal Nutrition and Husbandry at the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice, Slovakia. Current responsibilities include teaching students for veterinary medicine and food hygiene programs, with supervision of 4 doctoral students, alongside a track record of 67 successfully defended diploma and bachelor's theses.
Research and Academic Experience:
Knowledge and methodological skills in the field of detecting bacterial pathogens from blood, milk, and tissue samples, their virulence factors, and the health safety of produced food of animal origin. Teaching activities on animal husbandry and the technology of animal production.
Research Area:
Research activities aimed at solving problems in the field of ruminant breeding and primary milk production, as well as poultry, pigeons and rabbits breeding and diseases.
A number of Published Papers and Citations:
The scientific achievement consists of 3 monographs, 8 textbooks, and over 300 papers. He has 80 publications in the Web of Science core collection, garnering 865 citations and an H-index of 15.
Research Projects:
The principal researcher of 3 international and 6 Slovak projects focused on the prevention and diagnosis of ruminant mastitis, milk quality, and animal husbandry, as well as on improving the education of veterinary medicine students. Co-solver of 1 foreign NAWA project (Poland) and 5 Slovak projects.
