About
Dr. R. HariKumar received his B.E (ECE) degree from NIT (REC) Trichy in the year 1988. He obtained his M.E (Applied Electronics) degree from College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University Chennai in 1990. He was awarded Ph.D. in Information &Communication Engineering from Anna University Chennai in 2009. He has 33 years of teaching experience at College level. He worked as faculty at Department of ECE, PSNA College of Engineering & Technology, Dindigul. He was Assistant Professor in IT Department at PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore. He also worked as Assistant Professor in ECE Department at Amrita Institute of Technology, Coimbatore. Currently he is working as Professor ECE at Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, Sathyamangalam. He has published Two hundred and Eighty Six papers in International and National Journals and also published around Three hundred and fifty five papers in International and National Conferences conducted both in India and abroad. Eight Patents are granted to him. Four sponsored projects tuned to worth of Rs 26 lakhs from the agencies like AICTE, DRDO and ICMR completed by him. He is the recipient of IETE RS Khandpur Award 2022 for his contribution towards Medical Electronics Instrumentation. His area of interest is Bio signal Processing, Soft computing, Deep learning, Medical Image processing, VLSI Design and Communication Engineering. Currently, he is guiding Six Ph.D theses in these areas. Twenty Three of his students were awarded Ph.D by Anna University Chennai. He is a Fellow of IETE, life Member IAENG, & ISTE and Senior member of IEEE.
