About

Prof. (Dr.) Arijit Saha is currently working as the Principal of Dum Dum Motijheel Rabindra Mahavidyalaya (Govt. aided) since June 2023. Previously he was associated with B. P. Poddar Institute of Management & Technology as professor in the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering for more than 15 years. Prior to that he spent 6 and half years with JIS College of Engineering as an Assistant Professor. Previous to that he spent 2 years in Industry as Software Engineer working for CA-TCG Software and famous publishing house ABP Pvt. Ltd. He is also currently associated with Calcutta University as visiting professor since last 15 years.
He holds a B.Sc in Physics (Hons), B.Tech and M.Tech in Applied Physics from the University of Calcutta. He holds the PhD degree from the same university. Till date he has more than 50 research publications in highly reputed SCI/Scopus Journals and Conferences. He has also authored 4 books published from famous publications like Infinity Science Press, USA; University Science Press, Delhi; LAP Germany; and Pearson Education. He has also authored several book chapters from reputed publishers like Elsevier, Springer to name a few. He is also a reviewer of JOSA, Springer, Elsevier etc.
He is also acting as a supervisor to PhD scholars. His current areas of interest are Image and Signal Processing, THz engineering, and birefringent networks. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), Fellow of the Optical Society of India (OSI), Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), and International Association of Engineers (IAENG). He has received the “Leading Educationist of India award 2018” and “Best Faculty award” from Cognizant in 2015.
