About

I was born in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, India, and did my schooling in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. I was the science topper in the 12th board exam in the Moradabad district. I obtained my engineering degree in Industrial Biotechnology from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, in 2010. In the same year, I qualified Graduate Aptitude Test Exam (GATE). After getting exposed to some interdisciplinary research, I pursued my Ph.D. Chemistry in the group of Prof. KVR Chary at the Department of Chemical Sciences, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai, until 2016. This work constituted real-time cellular Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) on plant metabolic carbon flow analyses. After few months of my stay at TIFR, Mumbai, as a visiting fellow, I joined the group of Prof. Dr. Rasmus Linser at Ludwig Maximilians University, Department of Chemistry and Pharmacy, in Munich, Germany, in July 2016. My research was expanded by explaining protein structure and dynamics link to function using solution- and solid-state NMR methods. From Nov 2018 to today, I moved to Prof Rasmus Linser at the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Technical University Dortmund, Germany. Currently, I am trying to probe the real-time catalytic mechanism of an enzyme using integrative approaches like NMR, X-ray, and MD simulations.
