About
Dr. Anil Kumar is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Delhi Technological University, Delhi, India. He also holds the additional responsibility of Head of the Division–Clean Energy: Nodal Centre of Excellence in Energy Transition (NCEET), DTU. He serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Engineering for Sustainable Buildings and Cities (ASME) and is an Honorary Board Member of Green Initiative DWC LLC, UAE. He is also Research Fellow: Network for Education and Research on Peace and Sustainability (NERPS), Hiroshima University, Japan.
He completed his Ph.D. in Solar Energy from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India in 2007. He was Post-Doctoral Researcher at Energy Technology Research Center, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai, Songkhla, Thailand in the discipline of Energy Technology. His nature of experience in Teaching and Research (Science, Technology, Society, and Sustainable Development). His areas of specialization are: Clean Energy Technology, Solar Energy Applications, Energy Economics, Heat Transfer, and Environmental Issues. He has completed many research-funded projects in these areas. He has published 270+ papers in international peer-reviewed journals and 80 papers in International/National conferences proceedings. He has received more than 12,000+ citations with 62 h-index (Google Scholar) and 8,200+ citations with 51 h-index (SCOPUS). He is authors 13 books (4 National and 9 International editions). He is Fellow and Chartered Engineer of The Institution of Engineers (India) (vide no. F-1268879, date of election 24-08-2020). Also appears as most cited number Information Systems (IS) researchers featured in the World Ranking of “Top 2% scientists created by Stanford University since 2019”. He also appeared in AD Scientific Index 2021, 2022 and 2023: World Scientist and University Rankings. 03 granted patent and 05 published patents in his credit. He has supervised 20 Ph.D., 45 master scholars. Dr. Kumar has visited countries, namely UK, Thailand, UAE, Malaysia and Norway.
