About

Dr. Praveen Kumar Mannepalli is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Chandigarh University, with over 16 years of academic and research experience. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Sunrise University, an M.Tech from Acharya Nagarjuna University, and a B.Tech from JNTU Hyderabad. He has published more than 50 research papers in reputed journals and conferences (Web of Science-8, Scopus-47, IEEE Xplore-31), authored eight textbooks, and contributed six international book chapters in Machine Learning, Data Science, Cloud Computing, and Blockchain. He has supervised six Ph.D. scholars, with two successfully awarded their doctoral degrees in Computer Science and Engineering and guided numerous postgraduate research projects.Dr. Mannepalli has organized five Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), of which two were funded by AICTE and ATAL with grants amounting to ₹4.5 lakh. He has also played a pivotal role in NEP 2020 implementation, NBA, and NAAC accreditations at reputed institutions.In addition to teaching and research, he has held several key academic-administrative positions including Board of Studies (BOS) Chair, Head of Department (HOD), Dean, and Academic Coordinator, contributing significantly to institutional growth and academic reforms.With four years of international teaching experience at Hawassa University, Ethiopia, he has contributed to curriculum development, academic leadership, and faculty mentoring. He is also a reviewer, editorial board member, and session chair for reputed journals and conferences.Currently, he is editing two international books with Bentham Science in the fields of Fog Computing, Cloud Computing, and Quantum Computing. He is a Life Member of CSI and ISTE, and an active member of IEEE and UACEE.His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Cloud Computing, and Blockchain.
