About

I am an experienced research and development scientist with multidisciplinary expertise in organic chemistry, oligonucleotide therapeutics, peptide chemistry, and small molecule drug discovery, with a strong focus on RNA therapeutics. I currently work as a Principal Scientist at Switch Therapeutics, where I contribute to the discovery and preclinical development of novel RNAi therapeutics.
I received my Ph.D. from CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI), Lucknow, India, and completed my postdoctoral training at CNRS–Institute of Biomolecule Max Mousseron, Montpellier, France. My training in organic synthesis provided a strong foundation for solving complex chemical challenges related to nucleic acid therapeutics.
My career has focused on advancing RNA therapeutics from discovery through development. Previously, I contributed to oligonucleotide manufacturing and process development at Agilent Technologies and supported high-throughput oligonucleotide synthesis and purification efforts at Janssen Pharmaceuticals to accelerate RNA therapeutic discovery.
My expertise spans oligonucleotide synthesis, chemical modification, purification, analytical characterization, formulation development, manufacturing scale-up, and technology transfer. In addition to RNA therapeutics, I have experience in natural product synthesis, carbohydrate chemistry, heterocyclic chemistry, methodology development, peptide synthesis, and developing therapies targeting infectious diseases including tuberculosis, malaria, and leishmaniasis.
I have authored or co-authored sixteen international publications and am an inventor on one patent. My research interests focus on advancing innovative nucleic acid therapeutics through the integration of chemistry, biology, and translational drug development.
