About
Dr. Satish Kumar Sharma is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (TIET), Patiala. His teaching experience is of around 10 years including Teaching cum Research Fellow (TRF) at Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) New Delhi, Assistant Professor at Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology Panipat and Lecturer at TIET, Patiala. He has carried out his PhD research work on the experimental investigation of welding of high strength low alloy oil and gas pipeline steels and observation of metal transfer behavior of welding arc during submerged arc welding. His current research interest includes wire arc additive manufacturing, and functionally graded materials. He is guiding ME/MTech. and Ph.D. students in these areas. Looking for international and national collaboration in the area of metal additive manufacturing, WAAM, and the development of autonomous welding systems.
