About
My research interests lie in the field of antimicrobial resistance in Enterobacteriaceae and ESKAPE pathogens. Most of my doctoral research mainly focus on resistance conferred by β- lactamases, plasmid-mediated quinolone resistance (PMQR) and aminoglycoside genes in Escherichia coli strains isolated from an urban aquatic environment. I also extensively investigated the genetic environment associated with beta-lactam, quinolone mediated resistance genes, integrons and MGE,s.
At present, I'm working on Pantothenate synthetase PanC of Mycobacterium leprae as potential drug targets
