About
Professor Baskaran has more than 35 years of professional experience in Civil and Environmental Engineering. He joined Deakin University as a Lecturer in 1992 and actively involved in the development and delivery of several undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering. His areas of research expertise includes: integrated urban and industrial water management, water recovery and reuse, wastewater treatment technologies, and industrial pollution prevention and control. Prof. Baskaran also has extensive knowledge and understanding for the Australian Water Industry and successfully completed several industry funded research projects over the past 25 years. In 2011, Prof Baskaran was selected as one of the three leading researchers in the field of Water and Environment from Australia to participate in the “Visiting Researchers Program in Thailand” by the Australian Government.
